Six months is enough time to move a JEE Main percentile by 20โ30 points โ if the plan is honest about where you stand today. Start by taking one full-length mock under exam conditions and scoring it section-wise. That number, not your syllabus completion percentage, is your baseline.
Months 1โ2 should be about closing the highest-weight gaps. In Physics that usually means Mechanics and Electrodynamics; in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry numericals and the reactivity-based chapters of Organic; in Maths, Calculus and Coordinate Geometry. Pick the chapters where a week of work moves the most marks.
Months 3โ4 shift to revision plus problem practice. Solve previous-year questions chapter-wise, then in mixed sets. Keep an error log โ a plain notebook where every wrong answer gets one line: the concept, the mistake, and the fix.
Months 5โ6 are mock season. Two full mocks a week, each followed by a half-day of analysis. Stop learning new chapters four weeks before the exam; everything from here is about speed, accuracy and staying calm under the clock.
Finally, sleep. Students who cut sleep to seven hours or less in the final month consistently under-perform their mock averages. The syllabus is finite โ your attention is the scarce resource.
