Since 2020, every CLAT question sits under a 450-word passage. That's roughly 30 passages in 120 minutes — four minutes per passage including its questions. Reading speed with retention is the whole game.
Build it deliberately: read one long editorial daily, time yourself, then write a two-line summary without looking back. Increase length weekly. Aim for 250–300 words per minute with 80% recall by October.
Legal reasoning does not require prior legal knowledge; it requires applying the principle in the passage exactly as stated, even when it conflicts with what you 'know'. Practise resisting outside knowledge.
Current affairs passages come mainly from the last six months. A weekly digest plus a monthly compilation is enough — don't drown in daily news.
