NEET remains a single-day, pen-and-paper examination, and that shape decides how you should prepare: 180 questions in 200 minutes rewards reading speed and recall as much as understanding.
The syllabus is the Class 11 and 12 NCERT — literally. Around 85–90% of Biology questions can be traced to a line, table or diagram in the NCERT textbook. Read it three times: once for understanding, once with a highlighter, and once making your own one-page summaries per chapter.
Physics is where most Biology-strong students lose rank. Don't skip it. Focus on the 12–14 chapters that account for two-thirds of the paper: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Current Electricity, Optics and Modern Physics.
Chemistry splits roughly evenly across Physical, Organic and Inorganic. Inorganic is pure NCERT recall; Organic rewards reaction-mechanism understanding; Physical needs formula fluency and daily numerical practice.
Start full-length mocks by February. Track your 'silly mistake' count separately from your 'concept gap' count — they need different fixes.
