IPMAT gets you into IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak only. JIPMAT, a separate NTA exam, covers IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. Beyond the IIMs, a whole set of five-year integrated management programmes accept their own entrances — NMIMS (NPAT), Christ University, Symbiosis, TAPMI, NALSAR's management programme and several others. If your goal is a five-year BBA+MBA, IPMAT is one of six or seven doors.
Most IPMAT candidates apply to exactly two institutes and then have nothing to fall back on in June. Here is the wider map.

- Apply to at least four institutes. The IPMAT seat count is tiny and results land close together.
- The non-IIM entrances mostly test the same aptitude, so the marginal preparation is small — often just a different section balance.
- CUET is worth writing regardless: it opens BMS at Delhi University and a wide set of central universities.
How to pick #
Judge four things: the placement report of the specific campus (not the brand family), whether the MBA stage is at the same institute, total cost across five years, and city — for internships, city matters more than students expect.
